An engine is an energy conversion machine, mainly composed of two major mechanisms (crankshaft and connecting rod, valve train) and five major systems (fuel supply, lubrication, cooling, ignition, and starting). Its core components include pistons, crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinders, valves, and camshafts. These components work together to convert fuel energy into mechanical energy, driving vehicles such as cars and aircraft. Engine components also extend to the fuel system (injectors, filters) and intake and exhaust systems (manifolds, turbochargers), responsible for efficient and reliable operation.
